Have used Ron multiple times in the past for consultation on copyright issues. Always timely and sage advice. And hell of a great guy as well.

Ronald D. Coleman, of N.J. and N.Y., failed to pursue my claims with due diligence and failed to act in my best interest and according to my goals and the terms of our agreement. In a November 2015 meeting, I repeatedly made clear that I did NOT want to litigate my claims and he agreed. He stated that he would spend $2000.00 of my $5500.00 retainer to review materials, draft and mail demand letters, and negotiate with the defendants. But he only pursued one of my claims--and half-heartedly at that when he blew off a scheduled four-way conference call because he simply “forgot.” Oops.
Then in two months later, I received an invoice showing he’d used up $2863.00--nearly 2/3 of my retainer--pursing a single claim. When I protested that his excessive spending violated the terms of our agreement, he said that the upfront costs would be higher to formulate initial demand letters and evidence, and because they’d be reused with each subsequent claim, fewer hours would be expended with each.
Then, two months later, I received an invoice showing he’d spent my whole retainer PLUS and additional $2000.00 worth of time on a only two letters and two phone calls. This conclusively showed that his intention all along was to litigate, not try to settle, because taking a case to court puts more money in his pocket.
Don’t be fooled by his ratings: 10.0 out of 10.0 stars of Avvo.com and an A+ pre-eminent ranking on Martindale.com. HE IS DECEITFUL AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED!

I've been working with Ron for a well-known case for many years now and found him to be exceptionally perceptive, intuitive, and sharp in helping determine the legal course to take. He knows what he's talking about, and he has a sense of humor as well.
My case has been ongoing for over six years - but it was Ron's ingenuity to tackle things from a different slant that allowed us to move forward and overcome many traditional barriers in place. He has worked tirelessly, been extremely responsive to my many questions, and has presented a case that has been scrutinized (though oft-misunderstood) by millions now. Throughout this process, he's helped protect me from myself - from acting too rash, and helping preserve and protect my brand.

If you want your opponent’s heart to hit their stomach when they research your counsel, hire Ron. This is exactly what I was told by a team member of the “other side” after she came to work for us following our Ron-at-the-helm victory. When Ron took our case, I felt confident after doing my own research that we had the best. But this statement by my now sales manager cemented that sentiment; we had the best, and the other side knew it.
Ron is a plethora of knowledge when it comes to intellectual property. Combine that with his powerful persona, his calm-in-the-storm approach, and his articulate legal writing skills, and you’ve got a brilliant attorney that you will be proud to have in your corner. Throw in his uncompromising honesty and his canny sense of humor, and you’ve got someone you'll be proud to have as your friend.
If you’re looking for the best ip attorney, your search is over. You’ve found your man.

Ron advised me to pursue a trademark that would provide broader protection if approved. This would alleviate me from filing additional trademarks for variations of my service. He did a great job and my trademark is now registered.

Ron is an outstanding legal resource. He is the guy you hire when you want straight answers and results. A walking encyclopedia with a powerhouse punch. Ron defended my trademark and my small, privately held consulting practice (Dallas, Texas) against a giant, publicly traded (NYC) corporation with deep pockets, and an internal and external legal team.
I hired Ron, because I felt I needed an IP attorney in NYC who could stand up to the NYC law firm who represented the corporation I was in dispute with. They were using my trademark after having been denied by the USPTO (because it belonged to me). After speaking with 3 Dallas IP attorneys, I was very unhappy and terrified of the possible outcome. Then, I came across Ron's blog, I read it extensively, reviewed his credentials (outstanding) and hoped he was available.
I expected to get his assistant or a voice mail, even a no since he litigates such large cases. Nope, I got Ron on the phone first try. I knew in just a few minutes he was it. Ron and I never met in person, only on the phone as we exchanged detailed and super lengthy emails (mainly serious ones) but some were really funny, which made this infringement experience bearable. Ron is an excellent writer and communicator.
Then, we actually met face to face on the NYC courthouse steps. It was as if we had known each other for years. Ron's authenticity was humbling. He was immaculately prepared, eloquent and quick to his feet with deep, succinct knowledge. I could tell the Judge was impressed with Ron. Even the opposing team was quiet on several occasions. A refined, powerful force whose calm, strategic approach delivered everything I wanted, a win. I highly recommend Ron for anything IP.

Ron Coleman was originally recommended to me by a trusted associate. Intellectual property can be very touchy business. It did not take very long before I realized how lucky I was to have him on our side. Ron is an excellent attorney and a genuine pleasure to work with.

Ron did all my contract paper work, established my incorporation, set up TM, and was a complete gentlemen that keep me up to date with information while complying with deadlines. I was extremely satisfied, that I am using him for a second time. Highly recommend him!
