Maimoon was recommended to me by my realtor, and I truly wish that I had researched and found my own real estate attorney. As a first time homebuyer, he was dismissive about any questions I had throughout the entire transaction. Most egregiously, his office failed to request the property survey nec...essary to close resulting in my interest rate expiring and needing to request a 1 week extension. I requested the property survey on 5/24 and followed up with Maimoon about scheduling it on 6/4 and 6/9. Each time, I was dismissed and told nothing was needed for that at that time. At times, I questioned whether he even read his emails before replying as one of his responses started talking about the benefits of requesting a new property survey, which had already been covered, hence why I requested the property survey on 5/24. I was the one who then had to follow up directly with the surveyor to ensure that it happened and make sure that it was submitted. Additionally, when the seller's attorney provided a solar panel addendum with information that did not match the solar panel contract, I questioned it. Once again, I was dismissed and told it was "boiler plate." After doing my own research with the solar panel company, I was informed that I had been provided with an outdated contract, which is why the information didn't match up. As the closing approached, documents were missing preventing the title from clearing to close. I had to reach out directly to the title company to find out what was missing and follow up to make sure that it was submitted and then communicate this information to Maimoon. There were also numerous times when my realtor would email along information and ask Maimoon to call me to review it, these phone calls almost never happened. For the money paid, you can certainly find a more thorough and professional real estate attorney.
