About me

Drawing upon more than 40 years of diverse trial experience, Steven maintains an active litigation practice in the State and Federal Courts, focusing upon the defense of criminal charges as well as the prosecution and defense of professional (medical, legal, engineering and architectural) malpractice, construction, business, commercial and employment law claims.  Steven’s extensive legal portfolio includes seven years of service as an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Kings County (Brooklyn, New York) where he served as a trial assistant in the homicide and narcotics bureaus and as the deputy chief of the Criminal Courts and Investigation Bureaus.  Previously designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney, Steven has been named by New Jersey Monthly Magazine as a Super Lawyer® in the field of General Litigation every year since 2006.  Additionally, Steven holds an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, Inc. for ethical standards and legal ability. Most recently, Best Lawyers in America® 2015 selected Steven in the area of General Litigation.  A former chair and vice-chair of the New Jersey District VI Ethics Committee, Steven has been selected on several occasions by the New Jersey Supreme Court to act as a special ethics master in attorney disciplinary proceedings.  In recent years, Steven has participated as a panelist on ethical issues for the New Jersey Institute on Continuing Education and for the New Jersey State Bar Association.
