Born and raised in New York, Attorney McCabe came to Connecticut to attend Sacred Heart University for his Undergraduate Degree in Political Science, then went on to Quinnipiac University School of Law. After graduating in 2002 and passing the Connecticut Bar in 2003, as well as his admission to the Federal District Court of Connecticut, Attorney McCabe began his professional career working for U.S. Congressman Christopher Shays (CT-4). Attorney McCabe was responsible for Veterans Affairs and Healthcare related issues, including the implementation of the then new Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit (Medicare D). He spoke to thousands of constituents throughout Connecticut's 4th Congressional District advising and directing them through the new Medicare laws. After serving four years with the Congressman, Attorney McCabe became an Associate with the law firm of Tibbetts Keating & Butler, LLC in Darien, CT. While there he handled a caseload of 100+ cases, encompassing Connecticut, New York and Federal matters. His focus was mainly in civil litigation and through the years he became experienced in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Law and general civil litigation (Foreclosures, Collections, Landlord/Tenant and Home Construction cases). After seven years with the firm, Attorney McCabe started his own practice in Stratford, Connecticut, specializing in those same areas which he has developed significant experience over the years.
