Michael J. Dolan is a lifelong resident of Connecticut who was born and raised in New Haven County. Attorney Dolan primarily handles the firm’s personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice cases.  Attorney Dolan received his B.A. from Boston College, graduating with honors in three and one-half years.  Attorney Dolan received his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law.  While in law school, Attorney Dolan clerked for the Bridgeport Superior Court and the Regional Family Trial Docket in Middletown.  Attorney Dolan also interned at Jacobs, Grudberg, Belt, Dow & Katz and for the State’s Attorney’s Office in Middletown.

After graduating from law school, Attorney Dolan worked as an associate attorney at the firm of Sinoway, McEnery, Messey & Sullivan, where he handled a large portion of the firm’s soft tissue motor vehicle cases. Prior to forming Dolan & Dolan, Attorney Dolan was employed as an associate attorney at Jacobs & Dow, where he worked on complex automobile accident cases, medical malpractice cases, and wrongful death cases.

Attorney Dolan serves on the boards of the Milford Planning and Zoning Commission, the Milford Arts Council, and the Yale Sappern Memorial Fund.  He resides in Milford with his wife, Alyssa.

I reached out to Dolan and Dolan after being rear-ended by a speeding car. Mike handled my case in a very professional and timely manner. He was very sensitive to my specific needs. The outcome of the case was even better than I expected. I highly recommend Dolan and Dolan.

Exceptional Customer Service
Aside from the fact that he is an excellent litigator, the other really refreshing thing about Michael was that he actually responded to me whenever I reached out to him. This was a complete 180 from what I had experienced before! Michael always returned my phone calls/texts/emails within a day (I think once I called him on a Friday and he got back to me the following Monday- I can live with that). He also never sounded like he was bothered when I had a question for him. He made me feel like a person rather than a number.

Hire Mike!
Can’t say enough good things about my experience with Attorney Dolan as my lawyer! I came to him right after my car was T-Boned as I was driving through an intersection. This was my first serious car accident (a few previous fender benders, but no injuries fortunately) and I had no idea what to do. I was receiving calls from hospitals, insurance companies, and god knows who else all asking me a million questions, all while I was suffering through terrible headaches and pain throughout my body. After I hired him, he took over, and all the pressure was gone. Hire Mike if you want a great experience.

Excellent Lawyer
What I liked most about Mike, other than his emphasis on customer service, was that he seemed to genuinely understand that you can still be hurt in a car accident even when your car isn’t totaled. Mike seemed to really take this to heart, because he went back and forth with the other driver’s insurance company until they finally gave me what I deserved. Another great perk is that you don’t have to pay him anything up front- he gets a percentage of your settlement. That’s probably one reason he fought so hard: more for me, more for him!

Great to work with
I was a little apprehensive about talking to a lawyer since I had never been in this type of situation before, but Mike was totally approachable. He was able to answer all my questions, and put absolutely no pressure on me to sign up with him. Once I did sign up, it was pretty much smooth sailing. I didn’t have many questions for him throughout the case, but when I did he answered them quickly. He also made sure to keep me updated throughout.

Super sharp, always had my best intererest at heart and worked the whole process through with a level on integreity that I would think is rare for the profession. Mike was able to explain everything to me in a way I understood, he wouldn't talk over my head with legal buzzwords like my previous attorney did. He also knew when to turn on the switch to be a pitbull in the settlement negotiation when he needed to and ended up getting me a better deal. Highly recomend him

Highly Recommended!
I was referred to Mike by a friend after I was rear-ended while driving at a busy intersection. My injuries weren’t horrible (fortunately no broken bones), but my neck and back were in a lot of pain for several months after the crash. I tried dealing with the other driver’s car insurance company myself at first, and I felt like they were treating me really unfairly. They kept telling me that there wasn’t much damage to my car, so I couldn’t have been that injured- which was definitely not the case. I ended up telling a friend about my situation and that’s when he told me to call Mike.
