Roderick D. Woods, Esq. is a summa cum laude graduate of the State University of New York, and a graduate of Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York, the nation's oldest independent private law school. While attending Albany Law School, Attorney Woods was employed as a litigation intern at the Litigation Department of the New York State Office of the Attorney General, where his interest in federal and state litigation developed, and also employed as a graduate intern at the New York State Department of Banking where he worked on legislative initiatives focused on New York State consumers and financial institutions.
After graduating from Albany Law School, and passing both the New York and Connecticut bar exams, Attorney Woods was employed as an Associate Attorney with a firm located in Albany, New York, where he focused his practice largely on litigation matters. Since returning to Connecticut in early 2010, in addition to managing the litigation and transactional practice and caseload at The Woods Law Firm, LLC, he is affiliated with a leading Stamford, Connecticut-area law firm, and also acts as Connecticut local counsel for a large New York law firm which concentrates its practice on financial services litigation.
