I am a. 40 year old, married, mother of three who lives in Narragansett. In Sept of 2012 an addiction to prescription medications combined with a moment of weakness almost destroyed my life!! My professional, social and family relationships in jeopardy, not to mention my freedom! I have never been s...o scared! Tom was assigned to represent me by the public defenders office. What I remember most about the first time I met Tom is the huge pile of client files in front of him. I approached and introduced myself and as he asked me to take a seat and informed me he would speak to me shortly, I panicked! I remember thinking " how can he possibly represent me with so many other clients?" I sat down as my eyes began to fill up with tears as I thought about losing everything! My family, my friends, my job.
