Cassandra Feeney is a civil litigator, who specializes her practice in complex medical-malpractice defense, premises liability, personal injury, toxic-tort claims, employment law, education law, and other civil litigation in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Cassandra advises and defends medical practices, hospitals, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in state and federal courts, as well as administrative and licensing boards. Cassandra’s practice also includes the representation of property owners, manufacturers, and distributors in the defense of product liability and toxic-tort claims, including but not limited to asbestos.
Cassandra’s employment practice includes counseling clients on on day-to-day aspects of the employment relationship, and she has practiced before administrative agencies, including the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, in claims involving employment disputes, such as discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
In addition, Cassandra coordinates the firm's pro bono work through the Roger Williams University School of Law's Pro Bono Collaborative and handles claims under the Americans with Disabilities Acts, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
In 2015, Cassandra was recognized as a “Rising Star,” based on a vote of all licensed attorneys in the state and a review by an independent blue ribbon panel, as published in Rhode Island Magazine and New England Super Lawyers.
Previously, Cassandra served as a Rhode Island Supreme Court Clerk for the Honorable Francis X. Flaherty, as well as the Rhode Island Supreme Court Law Clerk Department.
