I have been a lawyer for over twenty years. My main areas of practice are discrimination in housing, employment or public accommodation, espcially if the discrimination is because a person is disabled. I also represent people who have been denied unemployment benefits or social security disability benefits. Another part of my practice is mental health law, opposing commitments and forced medication.
Before becoming an attorney, I was a licensed, certified social worker. I worked as an advocate and organizer for tenants and disadvantaged people, and developed job training programs for teenagers and underemployed women.
