Respectful and Caring Attorney

I was a successful small business owner over the course of 12 years, when my wife and I decided it was time to purchase a commercial building utilizing the SBA 504 Mortgage program. Two years after we moved both of our businesses and personally guaranteed a $1.2M mortgage, the economy simply crashed.... . We fought hard for four years to keep things going, taking out additional mortgages on our home, borrowing money personally for our businesses, and working round the clock to the point it became physically and mentally draining; damaging really. I even accepted a full-time job 1500 miles away to keep our home mortgage current, while working on weekends in our business. For the past year I have extensively researched bankruptcy--it was not an option and something I would never consider for so long, but at this point, we had no choice. Our commercial building was facing foreclosure (we couldn't sell the building for even half of what it had been purchased for) and we personally guaranteed not only the building, but also hundreds of thousands in personal loans. I called at least six different attorneys and each one either told me that I would need to file Chapter 13 (even though our debts were all business related, we were told we wouldn't pass the means test for Chapter 7), or they simply would not call us back. One attorney asked for a $10,000 retainer, but we couldn't even afford basic home bills without our family helping us. Desperate and feeling beyond rock bottom, I purchased several books, used online means test calculators, and downloaded all the BK forms online, I thought I had no choice but to file myself. In fact, I told my wife I felt comfortable and confident I could do this alone. Two days (a Saturday) before I was to go into Boston and file the petition myself, I looked one more time for an attorney. I needed to make one more call at least. Thankfully, I found Attorney Robert Simonian's contact info and placed what I certainly thought was just another call to tell my sob story to another attorney's voicemail who could not help us. HOWEVER, the phone was answered by what we would soon find out to be the one single attorney that was not only able to help us, but was eager to help us! My wife and I met with Robert at his office in Fall River, MA on Monday, and when we left his office we felt peace and calm for the first time in several years. Attorney Simonian and his partner Anthony didn't judge us, didn't look down on us; they treated us with the utmost respect and made us feel confident that we were deserving of a second chance. Their assistant Grace was comforting and professional, guiding us to our next steps in a very detailed manner. Our case was not simple, we had two businesses and a personal life that had been commingled together. Ninety days from the date we petitioned for Chapter 7 BK we received our discharge letter. Attorney Simonian, Anthony, and Grace were with us the entire time, professionally and emotionally. Not only were we able to keep our home and what we had left for valuables, he even called to offer professional contacts to help us rebuild our credit (which we have contacted and now receiving the same graciously respectful service as Attorney Robert and Team). I said to my wife last night that even if we didn't get a discharge, or if this had gone on for a very long time, I still would feel blessed that we found Robert and Anthony. Sincerely, if you are reading this and you feel hopeless, I strongly URGE you to contact Attorney Robert Simonian's office and make an appointment! Oh, and thankfully I didn't petition alone, looking back at the paperwork I had completed alone, with the help of several highly regarded books, we would not have kept our home and we would not be rebuilding our life as I write this review.

Very pleased with Robert Simonian

This was a very difficult time for me. I was especially uncomfortable with the accounting aspects of a bankruptcy, but Bob put me at ease taking me through the whole process with patience and understanding. His level of detail really impressed me. Bob worked out a payment schedule that I could live ...with while being able to keep my house. I felt assured that everything was dealt with in a fair and professional manner.

Lives up to their reputation!

I found Robert on AVVO and was impressed by the reviews. I tend to "do my homework" and went to his website and liked the information available there. I then searched other reviews around the net and liked what I saw. Then I just asked around and his firm has an excellent reputation. I can proudl...y say his firm lives up to his reputation. Very approachable, informative, knowledgeable, dots his I's and crosses his T's. I could fill this page with compliments but I think it is safe to just say that they certainly get 3 thumbs up from me!

Very happy with the service and impressed with his knowledge and would definitely reccommend.

I was very impressed with his knowledge of the law and the way it was explained to me. I felt comfortable explaining my problems and I could tell he was paying attention to me and listening to what I was telling him. When I first made the appointment I was very impressed when he told me not to bring ...any money and he first wanted to see if bankruptcy was even in my best interest before going forward. The only silly complaint that I had was that I had to wait almost 10 minutes after my scheduled time but he more than made up for it by taking more than and hour with me to make sure I understood everything perfectly. He explained every section one at a time before moving to the next and then re-capped everything at the end. Ultimately when we went to court I was so thankful that he is as careful as he is. I could tell he is a real pro by the way everyone recognized him and treated him and how easily my hearing went. Practice does make perfect. I can be a little picky and I can truly recommend Mr. Simonian.

Recomend Highly

I wish I had researched attorney Simonian's ratings months ago. I would have saved myself so much time and money. He is very knowledgable, awesome communication, awesome work quality and a great value. After months of two other lawyers dragging their feet and making my case worse, I finally did my r...easearch and called other lawyers for a reference and to back up my research. His firm came so highly recomended by everyone I spoke to. They seemed to have an awesome reputation. I called, went to see him, got everything on his list - he is very organized - and he said tell me when you want it ready and I'll have it done for you on that day. It was ready for me on the day I asked, I went to court a month later and that was it - over and done with - neat and simple.
