James Milligan is Outstanding. You would be lucky to get his advice!

I have just finished reviewing all of the written documentation on my DUI arrest. James listened very carefully about my physical issues and details of how the police handled the case and my arrest. Like many of you, I've never been in "trouble" with the law and being identified and treated, as a ...criminal was a very unsettling. The first lawyer I hired discouraged my desire to appeal at the RMV. He said, "Nobody ever wins there." That may be true, but I wanted a legal advisor to give me every chance and opportunity to plead my case and obtain a favorable outcome. I fired him. James and I researched the law, discussed strategies and went to court with a well thought out plan. I felt I was treated unfairly on many levels by the state but Mr. Milligan was able to focus on issues that would result in a positive outcome regarding my trial. The important stuff: 1. He is readily available. He returns calls ASAP. 2. His office staff is caring, competent and understands and knows how to deal with our frustration. 3. He has some serious courtroom credibility. He identifies and amplifies testimony that helps his client. 4. He has a great understanding of the courtroom process. He is well versed in the intricacies of choosing a jury or a judge for your trial. This choice is influenced by factors that occur right up to the last second. 5. He knows and is respected by the court personnel, officers, judges, secretaries and many of those employed in the justice system. 6. He possesses a demeanor, personality and mindset that are aware and respectful of the law and the people involved. 7. He understands truth, compassion, and fairness and will do his best to help you get the best outcome possible. 8. Well after the trial was over, his office responded to my requests for information. My son, who is a reporter, accompanied me to my pre trial and trial. He has had the opportunity to view and hear many court cases. He said, “Dad, you picked a great lawyer. He is smart, asks great questions and seems to be personally invested in providing you with a good outcome.” As I sat and watched the proceedings while waiting in the courtroom for my trial to begin, I became aware that Jay Milligan possesses a burning desire to do his best for the clients he represents. Jay understands how difficult it is to deal with getting a DUI. Depending on the facts, and your circumstances, I’m sure Jay can offer you the best advice to mitigate possible monetary or freedom penalties. Attorneys with his skills in the Boston area, demand a much higher fee for services.

Arrested for DUI

Was arrested for DUI, third offense. I had two when 18 years old, now in my 40's but in Mass the two prior's still remained. I knew that I was innocent but needed a good lawyer to prove it. My case lasted for over a year and Attorney Milligan hung in there with me, answering my panicked texts at a...ll hours. My case was dismissed, and then recharged... The DA "suggested" that the officer change the police report to the states favor, and I was in court again (police report was actually changed twice). Attorney Milligan was calm during this process and ultimately after a jury trial I was found not guilty. My case was not an ordinary case and Attorney Milligan remained professional and understanding throughout.

Excellent Attorney

I could not say enough good things about how Jay handled my recent OUI case. He immediately called me back after my first call to him and gave me a fair review of what to expect. He was fair in his pricing and responsive to every call, text and email I sent. He was on time for every court appearan...ce and went over and above to handle my case professionally and confidently. Exceptional

Our whole family can't believe how amazing Attorney Milligan was during our grandson's trial. His knowledge experience and confidence gave him such control during the trial. Somehow he was able to create doubt with the evidence and Attorney Milligan took total control of the police officer during qu...estioning. He showed such knowledge of the case and we were so impressed with his handling of the procedures. You can be assured that if you ever need an OUI lawyer you need not look any further. We will be forever grateful for his amazing work in this not guilty verdict.

Great DUI Lawyer

I have never been in trouble with the law or arrested before so when I got my DUI it was pretty devastating especially since my career as a mechanic involves driving cars all day. I complied with everything the officer asked of me and answered with yes sir and no sir. I stepped off the line a few tim...es and could not stand on one foot for more than 15 seconds however I did successfully count backwards from 66-33. The officer placed me under arrest and put me in the cruiser. On the way back to the station the officer advised me "off the record" to define the breathalyzer due to my career situation. Once I got to the station and was handed the paperwork with my charges I realized that the penalty for refusal was a license suspension for 180 days but if I took the breathalyzer and failed I would only lose it for 30 days. Not even thinking about court and just wanting to be able to work I took it and failed with a .12bac. I did some research online and contacted Mr. Milligan who was eager to help me as if I had already known him for years and was very knowledgeable about the information and steps that I needed to proceed. After many continued court dates, Mr. Milligan got the breathalyzer evidence to be withheld from the court room and got the jury waived so only the judge would be deciding my case. While interrogating the trooper he pointed out everything I did right that night in comparison to what I had not and the final outcome was that I was not guilty. I would highly recommend James Milligan to anyone who is thinking of fighting their DUI.
