In this past 35 years I've had the unfortunate need to hire and fire numerous federal lawyers, many of whom were considered the best of the best...in every instance I came away from the encounter with a bad taste in my mouth, sometimes even anger...Recently, after years of being away from the courtro...om, I found myself very much in need of a lawyer who practiced in Federal Court, and had the personality to be able to handle anything that might be thrown at him either by the Prosecution or by me...After racking my brain for an hour or so, I decided to take a very unconventional approach and go to Craigslist and read the legal service postings...I printed what I considered to be the best ads, and emailed each of the attorneys a summary of my needs and urgency, and got an immediate response from only 1 of the attorneys , Vikas Dhar...after a short period of very important questions going back and forth, I felt very comfortable, and asked him how soon we could meet since I felt I was going to be arrested very soon...I was expecting to be told 'sometime in the next few days' but was instead told to go to his office and wait for him, and that he would be there as fast as possible since he was just around the corner at the Federal Court House...I also was fairly close to his office so I headed there, found his office, and was met by his secretary who had obviously been briefed...within about 30 minutes Vikas came walking through the door and had an air of self-confidence...from that moment on I knew I had made a good choice...After leaving his office about 3 hours later, Vikas either called me or texted me every 2 hours until midnight, just to make sure I was ok...the following day , and for about 5 days, up until I got arrested, Vikas texted me at least 2-3 times a day, just to make sure I was ok...It felt great to know that I had finally found a lawyer that cared...after being arrested, when I actually got to see him in a courtroom setting, I saw a person who was quickly adaptive to any situation thrown at him...he was able to get me bail despite the government's efforts to the contrary....we parted ways at this point since I knew that I could not afford the lengthy Federal Criminal prosecution that was to come...he made the transition to my court-appointed attorney as smooth as silk for all involved...I wish that I could afford to have him on board for the duration, but I knew otherwise and didn't want to lead him to believe otherwise...For all of you that have need of a GREAT lawyer, who really cares about BOTH your case and you, hire this guy...you won't go wrong...his level of care is light years ahead of ANY lawyer I've ever encountered, and I've encountered far too many in my lifetime ...Vikas Dhar really does care about his clients
