Jay E. Macklow is the managing partner of Landman, Akashian & Macklow, LLP. Mr. Macklow is a graduate of Boston College and a graduate of New England Law Boston, formerly known as New England School of Law. He was the Managing Business Editor of The New England Journal of Civil and Criminal Confinement. Mr. Macklow is admitted and licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Rhode Island.

His practice consists of a general practice with a focus on real estate,( residential and commercial) workers' compensation, personal injury, and Social Security Disability.

Attorney Macklow has many years experience as a trial attorney. He has conducted trials and hearings in both courts and at administrative agencies.

Mr. Macklow is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, and the Worcester County Bar Association. He is a title insurance agent for First American Title Insurance Company. He has strong interests in sports, fitness, music and family.

team effort - great work

our closing was initially meant for an out of town closing, though this could have worked there were changes from the seller that compromised the experience. Jay and his team were prepared for the changes and in lock and step with all the updates needed to complete the closing. Jay is also very attentive and personable through many phone calls and at the closing. Enjoyed working with him!

Highly Recommended Real Estate Attorney

Jay Macklow came highly recommended and was a tremendous help to my husband and me when purchasing a home in Worcester County recently. Since we live in CA, we were not totally familiar with some of unique aspects of buying a home in Massachusetts. Jay took the time to explain everything in detail--including the services he provides--and answered questions throughout the process. He also helped us successfully navigate a challenging complication with our initial mortgage company and made a difficult situation very smooth. Jay and his paralegal Jessika handled requests in a very timely manner and always kept us in the loop. We were amazed at how quickly our home purchase was recorded and finalized once we signed the documents on the day of closing. Beyond helpful!

Jay was my attorney for a condo purchase that became pretty complicated (eg multiple delays with closing due to issues the seller was having). To say that I really appreciated Jay then is a major understatement. At every turn he went the extra mile and he always made himself available for questions and discussions about different options. He was extremely helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. Steady as a rock and the best I could have wished for from an attorney in this situation. I could not recommend him highly enough!

Proper Representation

Attorney Macklow was recommended to me during my home buying process, and I could not be happier with the level of professionalism he brings to the table. Selling our house!

Jay was fabulous! He explained everything in such detail I rarely had any questions. I contacted him what seemed for even silly things and he was kind and gracious to explain everything! It did take a little longer to sell our Home because of things that happened on the other end, but he got us through the process in a timely fashion and I highly recommend his services! We couldn’t have done it without him.
