Professional, compassionate, knowledgeable- would recommend!!

Upon meeting Rachel, when we first started our immigration journey, we knew that she would be the right fit for our family as we navigated through this process. Rachel was/is very professional, but also makes you feel comfortable. She answers any questions big or small and never makes you feel like y...ou are a bother. Our case took longer than expected, which was no fault of Rachel’s or ours; it was just how the system played out at the time we applied. Over the years, Rachel kept us informed on any changes or updates as they came in. She and her team helped us with all of the paperwork and guided us through what we needed and how to get it. She filed forms, petitions, uploaded everything all in preparation for our visa interview. She briefed us and then continued to stay in touch with us via email right up until the visa was granted, which we immediately sent a “YAY!” email to her to which she responded right away. We even had a zoom meeting after my husband got back to the US just to discuss everything and officially close this chapter. The paperwork needed for our process was a lot and Rachel and her team did an amazing job instructing us on what to gather and then she proceeded with filing all of it. She truly was a huge part in our process and we felt confident in her abilities the entire time. We are so grateful to have found Rachel and that she took on our case.

Best Immigration Lawyer Ever

I was lucky to have the privilege of having Rachel represent me. I would like to review her abilities as an attorney across 3 areas - ability, attitude, and results. First, she knows the ins and outs of immigration law, and is capable of coming up with the necessary theory and practice for any argume...nts that your situation will need, no doubt thanks to her intelligence, hard work, and also great team including her brilliant paralegal Sarah. Second, she really cares about and values her clients, not simply on a professional level, but as humans. In Rachel, not only do I see a brilliant attorney, but also a great, compassionate and reliable friend for life. Third, she is capable of delivering miracles. I found myself in a very difficult situation, being hunted by ICE who wanted to detain me punitively, not because they had much of a legal basis for it, but because they wanted to punish me for my political beliefs. Rachel's abilities as a lawyer really showed throughout the process, as we strategized and made the necessary legal chess moves that ultimately saw us winning a federal court case that ordered ICE to let me free from detention mere hours after my arrest. If not for her strategical, legal, and argumentative capabilities, my time spent in detention would have indubitably been way longer - and there might have been a chance that I ended up being sent to prison labor camps in El Salvador or Libya, rather than safely returning to my home and family in Turkey. Unfortunately, we live in dark times when it comes to the American Legal System, particularly when it comes to matters of immigration, and I can't help but wonder how much worse my situation would be had it not been for Rachel. Not solely her work in the court room, or pages upon pages of legal arguments, but also her dedication and care for me as a human being. If you find yourself in immigration trouble, you can count on Rachel to work as hard as she can, use her cleverness, and her heart to put up a fight for you. I owe Rachel a lot and could not be more thankful about my experience with her representing me.

Expert, considerate, and professional. Representation you can trust

Rachel and her team lead my effort to become a US citizen. From the outset, her deep domain knowledge and expertise in this area was evident. Everything from collecting the relevant data in support of my submission, dossier review and filing, interview preparation and access to resources in advan...ce of the interview were handled in a manner that can only be considered expert. Rachel spent the time to prepare me for the in person interview, walked me through the overall process, and participated with me as my attorney in the face to face interview. Rachel and her supporting team turned what is normally a stressful and difficult process into a straightforward affair with a clear end in mind. Rachel was absolutely terrific! Extraordinary professional and very knowledgeable

Me and my husband had a difficult case due to his probation and open case and Rachel did make sure we feel comfortable with the whole process, starting from consultation to the very end with prep interview and the interview itself (it took immigration almost a year and Rachel and her associates alway...s kept in touch with us, letting us know about what is happening and the next steps and everything). The moment you walk into the Rachel's office you know you are in good hands, that is how much of a pro she is. Office is right in the downtown Boston so its a little hard with parking but other than that there is no other minuses about the experience with Rachel Self. Rachel self amazing, honest lawyer. Melhor/ Mejor. You found what you were looking for !

Let me start by she is god sent to help people. I thank god everyday I found her. She knows the law, she is responsible, kind, honest, knowledgeable, speaks Spanish and have staff that speaks Portuguese. She will fight for you. I went to 5 different immigration lawyers and they made my case sound im...possible and like I had no chance. I found Rachel here on avvo.com and I’m glad I read the reviews. My case was immigration and criminal. She worked along with my criminal lawyer advising him what was the best outcome for my immigration case. Than she reopened my deportation case, filing a I751 to obtain my green card. Everything happened just the way she said, she fought for me Like I was her family member. I just got approved for my green card and now I’m on my way to citizenship thanks for her hard work and dedication to her clients. “Don’t waste your time looking for a lawyer she is the one you need.” If you have a chance she will be honest and make it happen. Words can’t thank you enough Rachel self! God bless you ! Amazing!
