Rachel helped me get my life back

When I was arrested Rachel called me at the police station (per my father's request) and she was in court the very next morning with motions and documents for my case. For the past year and a half she has worked diligently on my case. She is knowledgeable, honest, and persistent. She has this way abo...ut her that demands respect, and she is assertive without coming off as being rude (which in my experience, is not an easy thing to do!). She didnt sugarcoat things and gave me real expectations about the possible outcomes of my case. She always returned my phone calls and emails. I think what really sets her apart is the way she is able to communicate with people; she worked her butt off to make the DA see me as a person, and not just another case. I'd have to imagine this is a very hard thing to do, but Rachel makes it look easy. Ultimately through her hard work and dedication she was able to negotiate a just and fair outcome to the very serious charges I was facing. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else by my side these past 18 months, thank you Rachel!

Knowledgeable representation

I had previously applied for citizenship and got denied. After consulting with attorney Self, she pointed out exactly what my previous attorney had overlooked, and explained to me how that oversight led to my application being denied with USCIS. Having several arrests(6) on my record, my application ...demanded extreme attention to detail and a lawyer who fully understood the criminal aspects of my past for immigration purposes. Rachel was honest and upfront about what chances I had and told me step by step what she expected to happen. She felt confident that I had a shot...even with my criminal past. Ironically, everything she expected to happen, did! I went to my interview in Nov 16 and 2 months later got the end result that I wanted. Citizenship granted. I can whole heartedly say that she does not misrepresent expectations, is an honest attorney and very knowleadgable in her field. Excellent choice!!

Justice was done

It's very difficult to prove that someone is innocent when the case involve kids because you have to have great abilities not only to show the reason why your client is not guilty but also be quick to answer and fight your opponents ideas that most of the time try to bring to the court room more emo...tion than the real thing. Attorney Rachel did a excellent job and justice was really done.

Rachel self

By far the best experience you could have with a lawyer. Always returned my calls and reminded me when court date were. I was looking at 2-3 yrs for drug trafficking. I was so tempted to take the deal the DA offered but Rachel said we have good arguments so I didn't take the deal and won my case. I h...ave my life back and I have Rachel Self to thank. She will go out of her way to accommodate you and will even call you back on a weekend which is unheard of these days.

A lawyer's lawyer

All of the accolades you've read below are spot on. I am a lawyer myself but when one of my adult children needed competent, caring and effective representation with regard to a very serious state court matter I immediately called Rachel and thankfully she agreed to take the case.
