Maybe you are reading this review because you are wondering if Attorney Self is the right choice for your case. YES without a doubt she is. Believe me, if there is a path for you, no matter how arduous or difficult to navigate the stumbling blocks, she will find a way and carefully guide you toward t...he best outcome possible. When I went to see Rachel in March 2014, I was in despair and hopeless as I almost had given up fighting for my immigration status. My asylum case was denied and referred to an immigration judge who also denied me. My appeals to the BIA and fifth circuit were denied as well. Then I was placed in deportation proceedings. After spending thousands of dollars with 3 other lawyers, the only thing I got was a voluntary departure. One day while watching CNN, a panelist briefly mentioned Rachel’s name as very smart and knowledgeable Boston lawyer about complicated immigration cases. I rewinded the TV, took her name, googled it, but I didn't do anything about two weeks. Then I decided to call and try my luck for one last time. Best Decision Ever. The same day she called me back and I asked to meet with her as my case could not be explained over the phone. When I went to meet with Rachel, I was surprised how personable and down to earth she was despite being a very reputable and obviously a great lawyer. Right way my gut told me she might be the one and here I am today with a green card. Rachel was very honest yet empathetic. She told me there was still a chance, but a small one and it would take time and it would be difficult. However, Rachel said to me, "if I you are willing to try, I will be on your side, fighting for you till the end". God Knows she did as my GREEN CARD Just got approved. Rachel treated me with respect and care. Whenever I sent her a text/email or call her, she promptly got back to me which is very important when you are desperate or anxious about immigration issues. Honestly words cannot express my gratitude toward Attorney Self and her team as I just admire them all. Do you still need convincing? Read below, this is me she was talking about on Facebook. There has been heartbreak and tears and stress and anxiety. But through it all he never lost hope. I first met him in 2014. He came to my office and he had already been in the immigration process for a long time. We talked about his case and I came up with a game plan. It would be long. It would be hard. There could be no guarantees. But if he wanted to try to fight his case, I would help him. We would do it together. He was always patient, humble and kind. I just got my green card!!!

Rachel is a very experienced and excellent lawyer. Because of this, she gives reliable advice that never failed me. Given her years of experience, she knows very well how this process works and advises the right balance of patience and action. She is obviously well known, well liked and respected... in her field and knows how to best use these assets to help her client. She is down to earth, friendly and made herself available to me via phone, text or visit, as much as I required. My situation was a challenging one and other lawyers that I had visited before Rachel, had turned me down after hearing the difficulties of my case. She took on the challenge, explaining to me the process and hurdles and was very realistic in setting expectations. I am thrilled to say that I just received my 10 year green card. After my experience with this process, my advice to you is: Don't hire an immigration lawyer without consulting Rachel Self first! PS: her Spanish is awesome! :) Thank you Rachel!

Best lawyer ever.

If you are looking for a great immigration and criminal lawyer. Please, look no further! Rachel is truly amazing. Not only she is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in immigration field-she is super attentive and dedicated and will treat your case/problem as her own. If Rachel takes your case, y...ou can be confident that she’ll do everything and will win it. Besides being an outstanding professional, she also has a very nice personality, and it’s simply a pleasure to work with her, when I met her I had no hope to win my husband case , all I heard from others lawyers was that the best option was to sign to voluntary and here we are Rachel made it possible she win my case of cancellation of removal . The Absolute BEST

We hired Rachel Self to help with my husband’s criminal and immigration cases. Prior to hiring Rachel, we had already worked with not one but three lawyers and were left financially and emotionally drained and disappointed. It’s not that our previous lawyers were not knowledgeable or experienced, it’...s that they did not CARE on a personal level, we were just a job to them, whatever the outcome, they get their pay. Things are completely different with Rachel. From the first meeting with her, we felt important. She honestly sympathized with our situation. She was very professional, asked a many important questions, details that our previous attorneys never even looked into. She’s incredibly hard working and diligent. We know we can TRUST her; she is 100% on our side! What we love about Rachel the most, is that she is always HONEST. If things are bad, she will tell you. She will not work your hopes up and then crush you. She can assess the situation wisely and prepare you for the possible outcomes. Even though, sometimes the outcome may not be the most desirable for us, talking about it ahead of time realistically and honestly has helped us manage our emotions and plan for the future calmly. Our immigration case is still open, but we have finally stopped worrying and can sleep soundly because we have Rachel watching our back. She will not spare any resources to help us. Rachel Self is a true GEM!!! I am thankful to God to have found her. The only thing I regret is not meeting her sooner. If you are involved in a criminal or immigration matter, first of all, I am sorry for what you are going through, and second, you NEED to hire Rachel Self. Very professional work

Rachel Self, The best lawyer you can find in Massachusetts. Rachel is the attorney that tells you everything before you give your case to her, unlike other attorneys that want to take your case and money and get denied. I became a US citizen in 2011. I wanted to apply for permanent residence for... my wife. I went to so many lawyers in four years. I went all the way down to Washington D.C. to find a good lawyer that can get a Green Card for my wife. But they wanted to charge me lots of money and send my wife back to her country and get a Green card there. I could not do that because I have two kids and I have multiple businesses. Finally, I went to Rachel in 2015. And She finds that my wife is eligible to get her green card in the US without leaving. Rachel Started the process in 2015. We did run into some problems in the process because my wife's case was little complicated. That's when Rachel showed her skill and professionalism. My wife got her Green Card in 2017. Her work is very very professional. She was available anytime I needed help to gather documents. She put up good arguments. She was very good at the interview. Thank you to Rachel and her staff, she kept my family together.
