About me

Ms. Wong is a mother, special education advocate, and attorney licensed to practice in Massachusetts.  She holds a Juris Doctorate from the UCLA School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree (Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) from Dartmouth College.  At law school Ms. Wong studied Education Law and actively participated in an Education Advocacy Clinic.  In this clinic she advised parents and advocated for children under the supervision of a special education attorney and  a child psychiatrist.  After law school, Ms. Wong worked as a corporate litigator in a large, Boston-based law firm until she left to pursue her dream of advocating for children's education rights.

As an education lawyer, Ms. Wong has represented parents at IEP meetings, manifestation determinations, due process hearings and settlement negotiations.  Ms. Wong has advocated for her clients' inclusion in the general education setting and helped other clients obtain private placements.   She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA), the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), and The Special Needs Advocacy Network (SPAN), and Massachusetts Advocates for Children's Coalition to Defend Special Education.  Ms. Wong is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.  Ms. Wong's advice has been featured in ADDitude Magazine, a national resource for expert advice on ADD and ADHD.
