She failed to follow through on the important aspects of my divorce case. She had me repeat what my position was both verbally and in writing like a parrot. She passed me on to her associate, who was not the attorney I hired. Then the associate went into her own practice and that is when Jamie cal...ls me and states what I wanted to do, since she was my lead attorney. Meanwhile, I should have seen the writing on the wall. She booked a 4 way with opposing council for a specific time without my knowledge, and I couldn’t make it because I had a scheduled doctors appointment. Discovery was due 7 months ago. She failed to act on solutions to my questions. Just kept repeating it’s a 50/50 division of assets. I understand, but my situation was a bit different and I am a municipal employee and I asked her to look into, since by me giving 50 percent of my retirement would not be equitable. She demanded money for a trial I did not have and said if she didn’t hear back from me she would withdraw. Based on the non responsiveness for the past 14 months in order for me to move the case forward to a solution, she was more concerned about asking for more money for a trial which is 3 months away with no discovery. Luckily, I did the discovery on my own. Since, I didn’t have the funds to go to trial she dropped me. Now I’m lawyerless and after I called her out on it. She said she wanted to end things on good terms and informed me she would refund half my flat fee that would have brought me to trial. By the way I never got an invoice during the 14 month period she was my attorney.
