PAUL M. KALILL, J.D., Ph.D.
Paul Kalill earned his Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School, a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology with a sub specialty in Mental Health and Public Policy from The Union Institute as well as a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Springfield College. He is a certified mediator and a Harvard trained negotiator. Kalill is a Vietnam veteran who was awarded a Bronze Star and Psychological Warfare Metal amongst his many decorations and commendations. He was also responsible for training senior officers and military police in the limitations on the use of force in the United States. Dr. Kalill has a lifetime of public service and a wealth of experience in workplace, school and domestic violence. He also has an extensive background with corporate personnel and harassment policies as well as a wide variety of other human relations issues and has been involved with training in the areas of violence in the workplace and schools as well as terrorism on public transit systems. Dr. Kalill has done consultations in such diverse areas as stress reduction and information overload, humor in the workplace, positive psychology, marketplace behavior and creative financing. He was an adjunct professor of Psychology at Springfield College focusing on Psychology, Ethics and Law, Cambridge College focusing in Psychology. He now is a Professor, Capella University in the Department of Public Leadership, and at St Leo University in Emergency Management and Ethics and Criminal Justice. He also maintains a private practice in law, personal coaching, executive and leadership coaching and mediation. Dr. Kalill is a Certified Diplomat of the American Psychotherapy Association, a member of the American Counseling Association, as well as the American, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut and Washington, D.C. Bar Associations. He is actively involved in mental health and public policy issues, and has a broad background in the interaction of business with government. Dr. Kalill was a radio talk show host in a segment called “Shrink Wrap” that talked about using positive psychology to face life problems. He serves as an advisor to political and governmental figures on the national, state and local levels. He has long been a sought after speaker on a variety of topics, has written for various journals and is the co-author of A Protocol Approach to School Violence.
