Valerie’s answer: Having a gun in your vehicle is not necessarily illegal. If it is concealed or you are felon then there is a problem. The Dna request leads me to believe they are interested in more than the gun. It is impossible to predict a potential sentence without knowing the charges. Best of luck.

I got charged with simple battery. I'm 14 years old. Will I go to juvenile prison ? Or be on probation ? What's gonna happen??: I had walked up to a girl and punched her gave her bruises all over her face and took off her nose piercing. I hurt her pretty bad.

Valerie’s answer: You should contact a lawyer in West Palm Beach who handles Juvenile cases. As a juvenile there are a wide variety of sentencing possibilities if you are found guilty or plead guilty. Good luck!

Do I need to disclose my arrest?: I was arrested 2 years ago. I plead not guilty and participated in a pre-trial intervention plan which resulted in my case being dropped (null pros) and my case being fully expunged. I am now applying for insurance and one of the questions it asks is whether I have been arrested for anything in the past five years. Do I need to disclose this arrest?

Valerie’s answer: Thank you for your question. When you say your case was "fully expunged" is that because you went through the necessary steps with FDLE to expunge your record, or do you believe it was expunged because the case was nolle prossed? A nolle prosse means dropped, but not expunged. You have to go through various additional step to expunge a record. If you have in fact expunged your record, you can deny the arrest for that charge. If you haven't then the arrest is still reportable. Good luck and consider going through the expungement process if you havent already.
