  • Why don’t my questions ever get answered..?

    Dan’s Answer

Is it a “reasonable” offer? Depends on who you ask. The DA will say yes. You obviously disagree. But it is a common “ask” from DAs in gun cases. All you can do is push back. If the DA won’t agree to drop the search terms, you can see is the judge will make you a court offer without search terms. If that fails too, then you go to trial or fold. And from the facts you provided, it doesn’t sound like you have a good case on the merits.

As Mr. Marshall points out, you could be charged with a violation of Vehicle Code section 10851. You could also be facing a violation of Penal Code section 532. Both can be charged as felonies. I suggest you contact an attorney and get help with your situation.
