  • Can a loan I had no other choice but to get be considered damages against an insurance company that owes me money from a claim?

    George’s Answer

You cannot recover for the same damage twice the way you phrased it. You inferred that the loan was to pay your rent due to the Pandemic. You cannot blame the accident for Pandemic damages. In other words, you cannot recover damages for the wreck, AND the rent. That would be considered a double recovery by most Texas Courts.

  • Does if matter what state a wrongful death suit is filed in against a nation wide corporation?

YES, it matters and no, the corporation cannot be sued "just anywhere". Please seek the advice of a lawyer that specifically handles these types of cases, preferably Board Certified.

  • Can I sue a custom car shop for incorrectly installing a lift on my truck?

    George’s Answer

I changed this question to contract law. Since no injury occurred, You cannot sue in Texas for what "might" have happened. You can go back to the shop and insist that they "fix" their work. When you paid for the lift, the shop, they contractually agreed to return your truck "fit" for the particular purpose of operating as a vehicle. They have a legal responsibility to make your truck "fit" If someone had been actually hurt, You may have had a different claim for the resulting injuries. Many Blessings and I am glad Your Child was not injured.

  • Can I file a civil/wrongful death suit against the parents of 2 people that murdered my son?

    George’s Answer

Very doubtful that parents are responsible for the criminal acts of their child unless they negligently did something to contribute to the crime.

  • What Legal Action Can I Pursue for Uninsured Driver That Hit My Car ?

    George’s Answer

You can make a claim under YOUR Uninsured Motorist coverage on Your policy. Texas requires UM coverage on every policy unless you reject it in writing. If you rejected it in writing, that is a problem. UM coverage is very inexpensive, and very necessary in Texas where many drivers are uninsured. Quite often, if you are in an accident, the other driver, especially a bad driver or reckless driver will not have insurance. Take Your policy to a lawyer and he or she will tell You. If you rejected the coverage, I am sorry

  • Do I have a case?

    George’s Answer

You need to check with lawyers locally that know your lawyer. Your case may be a potential claim against your prior lawyer. These type of cases are fact driven and may depend on whether the potential result justifies a new lawyer charging you another fee to chase your prior lawyer. So sorry You were treated badly

  • Can I sue Dollar General for mental anguish for one of their employees damaging my car?

    George’s Answer

It doesn't sound like you have suffered enough damages to justify hiring a lawyer. You cannot recover mental anguish damages for property damage you suffer.

  • What happens when a person purposely throw a basketball to try and injur the kid ?

    George’s Answer

I do not think there is a case. There are no damages. An accident that "almost" happens, does not create damages.

  • If a pet product has injured my pet what are my rights

    George’s Answer

Unfortunately Texas law is terrible regarding Pets, Our Texas Supreme Court believes that Pets are nothing different than any other personal property you possess such as a pair of gloves. Pets have no rights other than ASPCA. You can only ever recover the economic value of the Pet. Terrible Law!!!!!!!
