    You cannot recover for the same damage twice the way you phrased it. You inferred that the loan was to pay your rent due to the Pandemic. You cannot blame the accident for Pandemic damages. In other words, you cannot recover damages for the wreck, AND the rent. That would be considered a double recovery by most Texas Courts.

    YES, it matters and no, the corporation cannot be sued "just anywhere". Please seek the advice of a lawyer that specifically handles these types of cases, preferably Board Certified.

    I changed this question to contract law. Since no injury occurred, You cannot sue in Texas for what "might" have happened. You can go back to the shop and insist that they "fix" their work. When you paid for the lift, the shop, they contractually agreed to return your truck "fit" for the particular purpose of operating as a vehicle. They have a legal responsibility to make your truck "fit" If someone had been actually hurt, You may have had a different claim for the resulting injuries. Many Blessings and I am glad Your Child was not injured.

    Very doubtful that parents are responsible for the criminal acts of their child unless they negligently did something to contribute to the crime.

    You can make a claim under YOUR Uninsured Motorist coverage on Your policy. Texas requires UM coverage on every policy unless you reject it in writing. If you rejected it in writing, that is a problem. UM coverage is very inexpensive, and very necessary in Texas where many drivers are uninsured. Quite often, if you are in an accident, the other driver, especially a bad driver or reckless driver will not have insurance. Take Your policy to a lawyer and he or she will tell You.     Unfortunately Texas law is terrible regarding Pets, Our Texas Supreme Court believes that Pets are nothing different than any other personal property you possess such as a pair of gloves. Pets have no rights other than ASPCA. You can only ever recover the economic value of the Pet. Terrible Law!!!!!!!
