  • I was arrested for cocaine a year and a half later i was arraigned for 400 grams of heroin my finger print isn't on it

    Beau’s Answer

This is a VERY serious case. You NEED to contact a big time attorney to help you ASAP. I don't see a question here, but it sounds like you are asking do they have a case. Yes. They have a case and there is obviously a lot more to this stop and evidence they have against you. Please don't wait because you will be wanting to aggressively respond to these charges before the government digs its feet deep into the ground against you.

  • How long does it usually take to get a felony warrant?

    Beau’s Answer

You can call the judge's office to see if the warrant was signed. Another possibility is the Sheriff's office warrants division to see if they have an active warrant for him.

  • My ex's new boyfriend is leaving death threatening voice mails & texts, can he be charged?

    Beau’s Answer

Save everything and call the police. The more evidence the stronger the case. Domestic threats are the number one source of violence and if he is saying these things and in a highy charged emotional state, you need to take reasonable precautions now by contacting law enforcement. Maybe, although this is not legal advice per se, you should also consider avoiding toxic relationships that place your personal safety in harm's way...I mean, how did he know what happened between yot two? Did she tell him, or what? It seems something is missing in your account.

  • Will i get in trouble if i leave home at 17?

    Beau’s Answer

I have a lot of concern here. You put down the area of law as "sex crime" on your question. If this is a matter of sexual abuse, you NEED to contact law enforcement right away. If this is not the problem, much thought needs to go into leaving your home right now and providing for yourself. A person can file to emancipate themselves at 16, but that is hardly ever the correct first move. If you do not contact law enforcement, I'd recommend calling a local family law attorney ASAP to get you some answers that are grounded in objective reality and not based solely upon emotion. Either way, it sounds like you are suffering through something badly and need someone to talk to and guide you through this pain.

  • Can u be 18 and date a 16 year old?

    Beau’s Answer

Until the boy is 17, he is not of legal age for any type of sexual relations. If there is ANY type including sexting, sending pictures or videos back and forth or sexual touching even, the person older than 17 could place themselves in legal jeopardy.

  • Can a 17 year old go to jail in Louisiana by getting a 16 year old pregnant ?

    Beau’s Answer

Although not used often now, YES, there remains a statute that does possibly impact him. LA. R.S. 14:92(A)(7). The commission of a "sexually immoral" act which does not require the State to prove there was a two year age difference between the two parties when one party is under 17.
