  • I was pulled over this evening for running a stop sign. I know I did not run it. I asked the officer to show me his dash cam.

    I agree with these answers. As for the evidence, it is your word against the officer, and the court will view his word with much more credibility. I mean, let's face it - the court hears "I didn't do it" every day. But more importantly, and as another attorney already pointed out, this is about revenue for the municipality, not justice. The amount you'd spend fighting the ticket far exceeds the cost of hiring an attorney, getting the charge reduced to non-moving, and paying the fine. I understand that many people want to prevail on principle, but save that for another day. This isn't worth the fight.
