Accutane

Accutane is the brand name of an oral retinoid drug (form of vitamin A) called isotretinoin. Isotretinoin works by reducing the amount of oil your skin makes and helping it shed old cells more efficiently. It treats severe cases of acne and cystic acne very well, but also has potentially serious side effects. Because of these potential side effects, it is considered a last resort treatment. Accutane can also treat rosacea and folliculitis.
