Status regarding PR Status

Status regarding PR Status

I would request your guidance and advice regarding me and my family's PR status which could not be fulfilled due to some personal problems and commitments here in India. Well, I along with my family members were granted Canadian Immigrant Visa in Sept, 2004. I along with my family visited Canada in Sept, 2004 but I had to return back to India as I had pending projects at my place of work. My wife and two kids (aged 10 & 6) stayed back in Canada for about 9 months. Due to some personal problems they had to return to India. My query is that our PR Cards are valid up to october, 2009. Would you please advise us whether we can be allowed entry in Canada as now we have planned to settle there for good. The requisite 2 years stay during a period of 5 years has not been fulfilled and even if we now come there, we will be short by 3 to 4 months. The reasons for non-completition of the requisite period also include:-
(1) My family and kids had to move back to Canada as my wife's mother met with a back injury and her physical movement was curtailed due to this fall.

(2) I was not releived by my employers here in India due to some pending projects which are now completed.

(3) I also had a slip disc problem (lumbar region) a few months back and have been advised physiotherapy on a regular basis. All medical reports/documents are available.

(4) There has been considerable delay on the part of the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, India as regards the renewal of my wife's passport which till date has not been received seriously hindering our travel back to Canada.

Could you please enlighten us regarding the helpless situation we are in. I would be most grateful for your guidance and advice. Further, can we be refused entry at the port of entry, i.e., Vancouver.

Yours truly,
Rajinder Pal Singh

Am I eligible for expeditious naturalization?

I have posted a message related to this issue. I'm in Hungary, my husband is in the Army stationed in Germany but deployed now. I have been a green card holder for 4 months. My problem is that there seems to be a requirement that one year has to remain after the naturalization procedure is completed. I contacted USCIS in the U.S. and I was told I am still eligible and can apply anytime during my husband's deployment while USCIS in Frankfurt told me I am not eligible. What is the truth? My husband's DEROS is JAN 2010. If I am not eligible, could someone tell me how often and FOR HOW LONG do I have to stay in the U.S. per trip to retain my green card?

Can my brother apply and sponsor my reentry into the U.S. after being deported in 1993 for a non violent property crime

Hello,

I live in the U.S and iam a naturalised citizen. My brother who now lives in the UK also lived in the U.S for over 25 years and he was deported in 1993, for a non violent property crime that involved his business. i will not say at this point where this took place, i will only say it is one of the worst states for fair justice. I am defending my borther because i believe my brother was not guilty of the crime he was accused of doing. It was an absolute b.s case and my brother was sent away from his family. 25 years my borther lived here, and this government sent him back to the UK. The government forgot about the real people who suffer here, because basically this country was left to take care of my borther's children. I just simply do not for the life of me see what this proves when you split families apart.

My question is can my brother after being gone from the U.S for over 10 years now be able to visit his mother and children, and what do we need to do to apply for this to happen.Who do we talk to and write to. Many Thanks

My friend needs to get out of a bad marriage asap but hasn't gotten her green card. She is L2 and the husband is L1. Ver y bad

My friend has a L2 visa which is attached to her husband's L1 visa. They have 4 children. He is Canadian and she is from Barbados. Their marriage has completely fallen apart. She's very desparate to leave but believes she has NO options or rights since she's not a US citizen. Her green card has been in the works but that's all predicated on the husband and she feels he could sabotage that to keep her with him. What in the world can she do? She feels it could get really really bad very soon. Please help me so I can help her. Thank you so much. John

Will USCIS accept a trust fund as a source of income for the purposes of sponsoring my husband? In the process of completing my petition on his behalf. The amount of the trust is 100,000, I have a dependent and my Mother is the trustee. I am not employed nor do I have any other income. Would this be accepted by immigration?
