Two Die in Motorcycle Accident Involving Tractor

Two employees of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville were reportedly killed in a motorcycle accident after colliding with a John Deere tractor.

The Grand County Sheriff's office confirmed that the motorcycle accident took the lives of Michael Udelhofen, 59, and his female passenger Laurel Skrede, 54. The two were reportedly ejected from the vehicle after it struck the tractor and both had helmets on. According to police, the incident occurred near Montfort, Wisconsin, located in the southwestern part of the state.

Police said Donald Kite, 50, was driving the John Deere tractor was traveling southbound on Bethel Road and was attempting to make a left turn on Old Highway 18 at the time of accident. Kite was reportedly injured in the accident.

Udelhofen was traveling northbound on that same road and struck the right side of the tractor as it was allegedly turning on to the other road.

Both Udelhofen and his passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
