Legal NewsThree Crashes Result in DUI for Kentucky ManMonday, October 19, 2009 at 03:29 PM Police in Kentucky have charged a 29-year-old man with a DUI, believing the driver was responsible for at least three overnight crashes on Sunday night and early Monday morning.
After gunshots were reported in a Lexington neighborhood, police investigated to find that the sound was actually a car slamming into a mailbox around midnight. Neighbors told police that they spotted a red Chevy Blazer leaving the scene. In pursuit of the vehicle police say belong to Erick Revolorio, the authorities encountered a crash near a highway exit ramp, during which the red Blazer t-boned another vehicle. The driver of the other car was taken to a nearby hospital with neck and chest injuries. Police say they later determined that Revolorio was responsible for a third collision minutes earlier which left the owner of a side-swiped car with minor injuries. In addition to the DUI, Revolorio was charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident. Research by Mothers Against Drunk Driving estimates that one arrest is made for DUI is made for every 772 episodes of driving within two hours of drinking. ![]() |
