Lawsuit: Madonna Can be a Noisy Neighbor

A neighbor of the pop icon Madonna has filed a lawsuit claiming the singer's frequent noisy dance sessions have caused a neighborhood disturbance.

Karen George, who lives above Madonna in a Manhattan building overlooking Central Park, alleged in a lawsuit filed on Friday that the superstar uses her apartment as a rehearsal studio, exposing neighbors to "blaring music, stomping and shaking walls." The Associated Press reports these sessions can last up to three hours each day.

The lawsuit states, "Madonna and one or more of her invited guests repeatedly dance and train to unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music, causing noise and vibration to pour through the walls, ceilings and radiators."

The building's board says it has already threatened to evict the singer if she does not make an attempt to control the noise from her dance rehearsals.

According to BANG Showbiz, George first made the noise complaints more than one year ago, when Madonna was preparing for the Sticky and Sweet world tour.

Madonna purchased property in the apartment building in the early 1990s and bought additional space last year.
