LeVar Burton, 52, was reportedly driving his 2006 Mercedes on Beverly Boulevard in West Los Angeles when the driver in front of him turned left on the road. It is unclear whether or not this driver was making a left turn onto another road. The actor then reportedly collided with a 2006 Scion as well as a parked car. According to police the initial collision created a "chain reaction" that involved two additional parked cars being hit, the Associated Press reports. An unidentified 74-year-old woman was reportedly driving the Scion at the time of the car accident, which occurred approximately at 7:40 p.m. on Monday. Detective Judy Acosta told the news provider that Burton and the elderly woman complained of pain after the car accident. Both were transported and examined at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and released. The Los Angeles police have not issued any tickets to either party. ![]() |
