James Caviezel, who played Jesus Christ in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, was treated for cuts and bruises after his motorcycle collided with a thrown bicycle in close to Leavenworth, Washington, state the local police. Washington State Trooper Rich Magnussen told the Seattle Post Intelligencer that the motorcycle accident "could have been a lot worse" and that the actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The trooper also added there was no indication why the bicycle was thrown in the path of Caviezel's 2006 Harley Davidson by a 42-year-old man, but told the news provider that mental issues may be involved. The police department is currently investigating and may press charges against the unidentified suspect. It is currently unknown why the 40-year-old actor, who reportedly lives in Woodlands Hills, California, was in the Leavenworth area.
