Native American tribes have special legal rights that differ from some U.S. and state laws, such as the right to form their own governments or to pass their own laws. Native American law attorneys have expertise in these special rights. If, for example, you want to do business on a reservation or are injured on a reservation, you would hire a lawyer with expertise in Native American law to help you.
