Answered December 01, 2011 20:08. Non pharmaceutical things that you can do to lower your BP include:
Avoid salt - table salt, sea salt, salty foods - potato chips, canned foods, fast foods
Decrease stimulants - caffeine(coffee/tea/pop), alcohol
Avoid Cigarette Smoking
Lose Weight
Get more exercise - even walking counts
Decrease stress, if possible
***You might want to talk with his physician to see if a less expensive antihypertensive medication can be prescribed too.
Best wishes.
