High blood pressure can cause a headache, but it's actually a pretty unusual cause. Generally speaking, blood-pressure has to be quite high before it would cause a headache.
For most people, the upper limit of normal blood pressure would be 140 systolic (upper number)and 90 diastolic (lower number). Readings higher than that may be harmful over the long term, but aren't likely to cause a headache unless the systolic is >180 or diastolic is >100.
Be aware that some conditions that cause headaches can also lead to high blood pressure. Either way, you should probably see you doctor soon.
