williest_cmu’s Comment: I had a situation where my termination from my job led to charges and I took first offender. That was almost two years ago and I am trying to get back in the same field and I have had interviews, but no takers as of yet. I have faith and the circumstances in my case help me somewhat.
I have questions about employment. Typically on applications the question is worded: "Have you ever been convicted of a felony?" Of course the answer is no, but then some have worded the question "Have you ever been convicted of or plead guilty to a felony....even if its been discharged under a pre-trial program?" How would or can I answer that question??
Also what would you suggest in an interview situation where they ask you why you got fired, you tell them and then they ask were there charges, is there a good way to divert the question or am I legally able to answer 'no' because of my first offender status?
