alfonsgo1117’s Comment: I have a question; based on your comments, what is a man to do if after nine years he is served with divorce papers asking for child support and finds out that the support will be for a child that is not his? He was lead to believe that the child was his and WANTS to continue to be in their life. A paternity test has been done, confirming he is not the father. Wouldn't this SB 785, and his request to have the court "order a period of possession or access to the child following the termination", plus the fact that the real father will be known, help the child?
