Wrongful Death Overview

Wrongful death is death that is a result of someone else's fault such as construction of an unsafe house or other structure that collapses, failure of a physician to properly diagnose a terminal illness, a DUI accident, a manufactured product that malfunctions, contaminated food, beverages, or medications. Immediate family members of the deceased person are eligible to make wrongful death claims. Compensation, when awarded, takes into consideration factors such as loss of emotional support and earnings that the deceased person would have contributed if death had not occurred.
