Procedure
A will contest may be started by filing a caveat with the Register of Wills or by appealing the Register's decree of probate to the Orphans' Court.

After filing caveat
After the caveat is filed, the will contest can be heard before the Register of Wills.The Register may certify the entire record to the Orphans' Court Division of the Court of Common Pleas.

Procedure if Will Probated
A notice of appeal is filed by the contestant with the Register of Wills. After that, you file a petition with the Orphans' Court asking that a citation issue upon all interested parties to show cause why the decree of probate should not be revoked.
