1.) Politely refuse to answer questions, ie, "How much have you had to drink tonight."
2.) Ask to speak with a lawyer immediately
3.) DO NOT take Field Sobriety Tests (ie, walk and turn, one-leg stand)
4.) Call an attorney before you decide whether to take the breath test at the station.

How much have you had to drink tonight?
When an officer asks this question, politely tell him or her that you would not like to answer any questions. Saying you had "two beers" is not going to help you in the context of a DUI arrest.
2
Step out of the car. I'd like you to perform some voluntary field sobriety tests.
"No thank you, officer."
Do not take voluntary field sobriety tests. Taking the tests means providing the government with more evidence against you.
When the officer brings you to the station, call a lawyer before you decide whether to take the breath test. Your decision can have severe consequences.
