First, get photos of your car and the other driver's car and always file a police report. If you are in pain, go to the emergency room without delay. If the pain continues, see your family doctor. Do not give the insurance company a recorded or written statement. Do NOT sign anything.

Get photos of both vehicles.Do not forget to get photos of damage underneath the car and keep copies of damage estimates. Always get photos of the other vehicle if possible. Oftentimes, one car will absorb more of the impact, leaving one car with minor damage and one with extensive damage. 2
Go to the Emergency RoomIf you have pain, you should go to the emergency room to be absolutely sure there is nothing broken or seriously damaged. If you still have pain the following days, you should follow up with a family doctor right away. |
