An explanation and overview of the Illinois Equine Activity Liability Act with narration and links. While specific to horse law in Illinois, every state has some sort of law that is very similar to the Illinois Equine Activity Liability Act. A good primer for attorneys with clients or those folks themselves who own horses, have a riding stable, manage or participate in horse shows, and/or in and around the horse community. Hopefully designed to give a little horse sense to fellow horse owners out there in Illinois specifically, and the equine community in general of the risks and protections this law provides.
