Victims of personal injury need quality medical treatment and services to get better and to also help document their injuries and damages. Here are several things to consider...
1
Get All the Treatment You Need. Get to the Hospital If It’s an Emergency!
If you are seriously injured, use an ambulance to immediately get to the emergency room. Your best interest should always come first. Depending on whether or not you are admitted to the hospital, it is also a good idea to immediately schedule an appointment to see your family doctor. All of your injuries and complaints should be discussed in detail together with a recommended course of treatment. The biggest problem we see with managed healthcare is that the providers are too conservative and place the insurance company’s bottom line financial position before what’s best for their patient. Not all doctors are guilty of this but unfortunately, many are. To deal with this issue, make sure not to minimize the injuries or pain you are experiencing. Truthfully and firmly explain to your doctor all of the medical problems you are experiencing. If you’re able to do so, write down on a list all of your injuries and pain areas. Give the list to your doctor during your first visit.

What If You Do Not Have a Doctor to Go to?
If you do not have a regular doctor you can see, many good personal injury attorneys are more than happy to share several names with you of highly respected doctors in your community. Most of the time, these doctors are not only extremely respected as healthcare providers, but they are also effective at writing reports and offering persuasive expert testimony during deposition and trial.
