Real estate advertisements should not contain explicit exclusions, limitations or other indications of discrimination based on handicap, such as "no wheelchairs" etc.

Is "short walk to beach" illegal?
No. Advertisements containing descriptions of properties (great view, third-floor walk-up, walk-in closets) services or facilities (jogging trails) or neighborhoods (walk to bus stop) are not violations.

Is "non-smoking" illegal?
No. Advertisements describing the conduct required of residents are not violations. Advertisements containing descriptions of accessibility features also are lawful.
