PARMA is a forum that promotes, develops and facilitates education and leadership in public agency risk management.
The original founding member agencies numbered 16 public entities. Since then, PARMA has grown significantly to over 400 public entity members and 200 associate members (private risk management service providers).
PARMA is a California Not for Profit Corporation consisting of six chapters: Bay Area, Sacramento, Southern California, Central Valley, Gold Coast and San Diego/Imperial Valley. Each chapter is responsible for providing periodic local training sessions for its members covering issues in liability, workers' compensation, property, employee benefits, and loss prevention.
