Important information for choosing the right attorney to handle your case.
1
Myth #1: Little or No Money DownThis scheme sounds great but ends up costing you more in the long run. The gimmick of little or no money down is that the rates are higher and you end up paying more versus paying a reasonable rate up front or getting on a structured payment plan. 2
Myth #2: The Team is betterNot true! The large firm who pays for statewide advertising usually shuffles you to a junior associate once they have your money. You rarely speak to them again. You really need an attorney that will invest the time in your case and be available to you when needed. What the team concept means is that there is one attorney who "sells" you on their services and then there are a bunch of contract attorneys who end up handling your case. 3
Myth #3 They advertise on TV they must be goodWho do you think pays for that advertisement? You do! When was the last time you bought something from TV and it worked the way you expected it to? |
