Medical Vocational Guidelines In A Social Security Disability Claim

Posted by attorney Scott Daniels

The Medical Vocational Guidelines within social security laws look primarily at an individual's age, education and work history over the last 15 years. These rules were set up with the intentions of making it a little easier for older individuals to obtain disability benefits on the theory that, the older a person gets, the harder it becomes to adjust to a new form of work.
