NM Illegal Aliens Have the Right to Money From Insurance Co. When Accident Was NOT Their Fault!

Today at my Albuquerque, New Mexico office I received a telephone call from an Spanish speaking individual who was involved in a car accident. The individual is illegally in the United States from Mexico. He was concerned whether he still had rights to get his car fixed and bring a personal injury claim against an unnamed insurance whose logo is two hands together. The insurance claims adjuster misrepresented and intimidated this illegal alien by telling him that because he was an "illegal alien" from Mexico he was not entitled to any money at all.

This was a clear misrepresentation by the Spanish speaking claims adjuster. Just because an individual is in our country illegally does not keep him from getting the same compensation for his property damage and personal injuries as every other American. He is still allowed to bring a property damage and personal injury claim against the insurance company.

The insurance company is required to pay for the repairs of his vehicle and daily fee for loss of use of his vehicle while it is in the repair shop. The insurance company should also pay for all medical care, pain and suffering, lost earnings and permanent injury needed because of injuries he received in the car accident.

Don't let the insurance company intimidate you just because you may be an illegal alien. You still have rights against them under New Mexico law if their insured caused damages to your vehicle and injuries to you!
