How to win your child custody case with a .99 cent store calendarDetails, Details, Details--If you have ever been to a trial, you will see the better cases are with the clients who know the details of their case. The opposition will ask you--when did the other parent in the last year ever abuse your child? If you say you do not know--this does not look good. But, if you keep a calendar, where you write on the top, for my lawyer's eye's only (now it can't be subpoenaed--attorney-client privilege), you will have the facts at your finger tips. Just keep child custody facts on this calendar--don't put personal information, like when your mother-in-law's birthday is. You will now be able to help your attorney build a better case with the exact facts and details. No longer will you have to say, well I think---you will know. You will save money with your attorney because you will be able to present the facts in an organized fashion. Attorneys want their clients to win, but without the facts, it is harder to win. From the facts, you will be a winner. 2
Keep computer logsAfter you write your notes on your calendars, write more details on your computer log. When it is time to go to the court to modify child custody, you can cut and paste your logs to your attorney. I had a case several years ago where I knew the lady was the better parent, but she just could not organize her thoughts for me to prepare her declaration. I had told to write down her thoughts, and she could not do it. So, I ended up writing down her whole case from 6 pm to 4 am. I put together her declaration, and she won. But this organization of her thoughts cost her 10 hours at $350.00 per hour--$3500.00 to put together a declaration. She had nothing written down and all of the facts and details were needed so we could win her case. If she had written her computer log over the course of time, this process of putting the facts together for the declaration could have been cut down to probably two hours--$700.00 --my client would have saved $2800.00.
