Read the Warranty BookletYour warranty booklet tells you step-by-step which steps you should take to address issues with your vehicle. Most, if not all, have a section regarding lemon law. 2
Take the Vehicle to the Dealer for all Maintenance and RepairsIt's a good idea to take your vehicle to the dealership for all your maintenance and repairs so that a history of maintenance and repairs can be documented. 3
Reasonable Repair AttemptsFor dangerous conditions, the dealership is allowed 2 attempts to repair. For non-dangerous conditions, the dealership is allowed 4 attempts to repair. However, if the dealership has your vehicle for 30 days total, even for a single repair, this will qualify your vehicle for lemon law relief. 4
Contact the ManufacturerIf the circumstances in Step 3 apply, complain to the manufacturer in writing or by telephone and note their response and who you communicated with. 5
Contact a Lemon Law AttorneyIf the above steps do not resolve your issue with the vehicle call a lemon law attorney. Unfortunately, manufacturers have a bad habit of ignoring the consumer until an attorney gets involved. Find Medical Malpractice LawyersRelated Searches |
