Once you have been arrested for a DUI/DWI you have 10 days days to request a DMV hearing. If you do not request a hearing within this time you will lose your ability to be heard, except in limited circumstances. Protect your rights and file for a DMV hearing within ten days from your arrest.
1
Contact the DMV or an Attorney Imediately
Either contact the DMV directly to request a hearing or contact and Attorney to request the hearing and advise you of your rights.
2
Prepare for your Criminal Case
You can do this by contacting a Public Defender (if you qualify) or a Private Attorney to discuss your case.
